"I have to give a massive shoutout to the crew of this restaurant. I ordered dinner after a hike in Harpswell and didn't realize they were closing early due to low staff. When I arrived, the place was closing yet I was still charged for my meal. I managed to catch an employee outside and tell him of the matter and the crew went out of their way — despite in closing mode — to make my meal. So much respect for the job and dedication to customer service. I appreciate the extra effort! If anyone in the area is looking for a job, they really need more hands on deck right now. Get over there pronto."

"Royal River Grille is my favorite restaurant bar none. The ambiance is welcoming, not a bad seat in the house, food is incomparable and the service is top notch. Our server this visit was Brian who took care of us without hovering. We felt like he was there just for us."

"We loved this diner absolutely, the food was exceptionally fresh, creative and so delicious! We loved it so much, we came back the next day. The crab benny was the best crab cake we ever had. The service was also really great, they were pleasant and very charming. Next time we're in the area it's a "must have" stop!"

"Stopped after the trip to the beach; had seen the restaurant a few days earlier, but decided for Thai then. I'm glad we tried! We both had a brisket on the homemade corn bread and it was perfect! Meat delicate and plentiful, corn cake added some sweet contrast. Sauce was excellent and they served extra on the table. Also got a page of fries that were crispy and well seasoned. To round it off, we shared a slice of lime cake, one of our favorite desserts. Not disappointed! generous portion; Butter crust and tar filling, with a beautiful slip of whipped cream. Very recommended."
