"This has been recommended from by friends and family and I finally had the chance to try for myself! It’s delicious! I had a really nice chat with the owner who’s really friendly and incredibly passionate about his product, which clearly shows in the taste....It’s a really quality ice cream and has a really creative range of flavours! "The meal we had was first rate. The fish was so fresh and cooked incredibly well. It has to rate amonst one of the best fish and chip restaurants around. It is family run and they clearly take a pride in serving up the very best. The batter is a family recipe, handed down through the generations. The price was very competative even although the quality was the tops. We are running out of words to describe how good this meal was. We will definitely go back."

"What a great way to end our first day in york. as we had already eaten a full meal during the day, we were just looking for some light to eat and a refreshing glass or two rose’ it is not the cheapest, but definitely worth the visit and we will be back soon. an excellent table outside on the deck with views of the river, served by amazing friendly staff, thank you."

"Yesterday night here. what a nice place to stay. rooms were beautifully decorated and had a luxurious feeling. a beautiful note were the freshly baked biscuits all pre-conceived enveloped. they were delicious. also enjoyed browsing through the cook very own cookbook, which was also in the room. the meal was first-class quality all made from local products and although the restaurant was busy workers were attentive and made the entire experience here to stay very special. the breakfast was also great with a large menu choice all freshly cooked to order no buffet style.) we will definitely be back"
