"Had a takeaway from here which I took to eat with local relatives in Pinner. I used to live in the area and came here for around 20 years during which time it was always very good. Having moved away about 15 miles I still can't find any fish and chip restaurants in the area around where we now live that are anywhere near as good as this restaurant or some of the other fish and chips shops in the local area of which there are a few very good ones but I believe the fish and chips here is the best. I recently spent 9 months working in Cornwall and bizarrely never found a chippy down there that came close to Ideal Fish bar either. Tip: have your fish freshly cooked worth the wait."

"Came last night here for my late birthday meal with friend and it was a good night enjoyed by all my guests. the service was good eating was tasty and a lot of it! the live music was great to bring the place really to life. would definitely recommend to go."

"Would like to give a huge shout out and thank you to Tom, Margaret team for making our night so amazing on Saturday 31 July, celebrating a special friends 50th. The staff, atmosphere, decorations and food are great.Even went back next day for Sunday lunch... The food is delicious and great value for money. I would highly recommend a visit."

"Visited a few months back and absolutely loved it! a wonderful culinary experience in which they are encouraged with their hands and eating is shared by a plate! the eating itself is divine, especially enjoyed the 'shiro' and were a long-term fan of 'injera' so loved the 'timtimo rolls'. can not wait to come back with my friend."

"Rare for me to so effusive but with excellent and perfectly presented food served by well trained friendly and very competent staff Medlar deserves the accolades it received. It may not have a Michelin star, maybe doesn’t want one, but is unquestionably of that standard. A stunning wine list albeit at a price complements the seasonally changing menu and with care on the wine choice Medlar offers unusual value for money."
