The restaurant is quite easy to overlook—we actually missed it on our first attempt to find it. If you're looking for an authentic Southern dining experience, this is the place to go. Everything we saw on the menu looked incredible. I ordered the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and a delicious cookie. Understaffed, had to wait to get menus, wait for someone to take the order, noticed phone orders taking priority over those from the restaurant, waited 23 mins to get meal, waited 10 mins to get check to pay for the food and finally waited in line behind 7 people to pay. The food selection is amazing! The price is affordable! Down home feeling! Great staff! Please don't leave without trying her sausage patty!!!
Went in for Sunday buffet and got fried chicken, sweet potatoes, Mac n cheese and creamed corn. The fried chicken was the worst thing I ordered. It had no flavor at all. The sweet potatoes were very mushy, almost puréed, cream corn was ok and Mac n cheese was decent. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The sweet tea was good and they have pitchers of tea on every table. Bill was $10 something, not bad if the food was good.
I'd missed this place so much since moving away almost 10 years ago. Going back and finding it just as good as ever was wonderful! Looking forward to many more great meals here now that we've moved back!
Great place to eat with your family. Nice and friendly staff.
