Nicely done! If I had read the reviews before getting to this restaurant, we might have stayed away. Glad we didn't. Starting with the appetizers of the bangers mash and the homemade shrimp potstickers, we weren't disappointed. The flavors were great. Our entrees for the family were the chicken po'boy, classic burger, fish chips and the starter taco salad. All were delicious. Waitress was very good, friendly and knew... View all feedback.
What Jerry Wright doesn't like about Open Water Grill:
Very disappointing experience, service was poor and food took forever to come out. Took 45 minutes to get a diet Coke and a second beer. Waitress said several times our food would be right out while we waited. When it finally did come, it was overcooked, burnt and soggy. Sad thing is it wasn't busy, but we were told they only have one cook. View all feedback.
This restaurant is permanently closed and is now Po House, Good Eats Libations.
Very good food for reasonable price. Signature cocktails were also very good. Would come again!
Where to start??? Beautiful view, and restaurant. Too bad the food was disgusting. We had Asian clams, not Hatteras clams in some kind of wierd broth. I Googled them, I'd never seen white clams with a black stripe before. My husbands crab mac and cheese had no crab, a little bacon in Kraft style pasta. I had the shrimp and grits. No flavor at all. My Daughter had an Asian chicken salad that definately had frozen nuggets in it. My Son-In-Law ordered the pork ribs. They were so tough, the restaurant told us they were cooked wrong, and they were taken off the bill by them. Not worth a $200. plus bill. Small portions, tasteless food. Stay away!
The food, service and view was excellent! Great dinner in our favorite vacation spot!
Walked into the empty restaurant on a Friday afternoon; seated quickly. Admired the decor and view. Ordered drinks and an appetizer of Calamari. Drinks came 30 minutes later. We ordered main courses; I got Crab Mac and cheese. Another 45 minutes later the main course comes WITH MY APPETIZER. The calamari was cold, rubbery, and tasteless. After finishing that I asked for a refill on my drink which took 10 minutes. I began to eat my entree. It was overly cheesy and had little crab in it. The little crab in it tastes frozen. And it’s 23$ for the Mac and cheese and 11$ for the calamari. Both aren’t great. Afterwards I decided to go for dessert as I couldn’t finish either plates because of how bad they were. I got the fried cheesecake and shared it with my family. It’s the only thing I can recommend from this place. It was nice. It had a crunchy outer layer and a soft cheesecake inside. It had raspberry syrup on top of it. Incredibly sweet. Come here for this cheesecake and only the cheesecake. +0.5 Star for decor and view+0.5 Star for service. +1 Star for cheesecake.
