"Some restaurants they have a Chef and the only thing they do it is open bags, heating things, getting frozen food and fried it, and not even caring about this job which is cooking and not 'heating things on a microwave''This restaurant has at least 4 people in the kitchen doing what they suppose to do, COOK and they do it very well, Healthy, FRESH, with great taste and great portions.I came last year for the first time and I loved it and this year I loved it too. They do have great expectations and surely owned the number one from Trip Advisor.If you like restaurants where the CHEF COOKS, this is your restaurant!!!!"

"What an amazing place. Despite the fact that it’s big and can cater for huge masses of people, it still maintains its traditional and honest feel. The views are amazing. The waiters fantastic. The food very good. As plus is the playground for kids and...the little bunnies freely roaming around. It had amazing relaxing feel, almost like coming home. Would definitely recommend and will come back as soon as we can. By the way .... we drove all the way up to the alm. Towards the end the road is slightly off road but our little Renault has made it and we didn’t see any signs that would prohibit this. Made it easier for us with our small daughter. The Kaiserschmarren was amazing"

"The restaurant is near the railway stop some 2-3 and outside the Obertraun village. It's a good starting point for a trip to Bad Aussee or a mid-poind for a trip around the Obertraun. The food is excellent. High quality meat and vegetables are used...(try their chicken! and everything is perfectly prepared. It's hard to say what is the best (I personally like their tomato soup very much . It might seem to be a bit expensive but it is actually adequate for the quality which they offer."
