I was there on a rainy afternoon, the fireplace warmed the dining room which made it very inviting. When you are in the world capital for green tipped muscles, you get the muscles and they did not disappoint. Plum and flavorful with a lovely sauce. I needed more bread for dipping but the staff took care of that. Definitely worth a stop.

We really enjoyed our stop at the Captains Daughter for lunch when passing through Havelock. Delicious food, very fast to be prepared, the waitress was an absolute honey (she deserves a payrise). The outdoor deck seating was beautiful overlooking the hills. Vegetarian options alongside plenty of seafood and a beef burger for the red meat inclined. Plenty of beer options and a great cider also on tap. Highly recommend calling in.

AMAZING! We’ve been searching for good quality healthy food while our travel and omg this place is a gem! I’m impressed the chicken breasts were so tender, fusion salad was super yummy, seafood chowder omg give me more please! Thank you to this place for cooking such amazing food!!!
