Years ago, the Mawney Fish Bar served a decent meal of take-away fish n' chips. Now the batter is oily (old oily to be precise), and a fried cod and chips gave me heartburn, a now regular occurrence over the past two or three years....Too bad. "Owner called Nihat, of this restaurant is extremely rude and obnoxious. Never going again. I went there with my husband and my daughter who is 4 years old. It was my husbands birthday and wanted to take him out for dinner. As I was passing him on my way back to the table with my daughter he tutted at my daughter as apparently he thought she was in his way and was extremely rude. my husband mentioned it to him and his reply was to ask to take my husband out for a fight…. !!! What sort of a person does this especially as he can clearly see we were a family. Horrible horrible man"
