Off season this is one of the few restaurants you will find open between Deer Lake and St. Anthony, but in season or out you will want to stop here. We stopped for lunch and were presented with 3 menus: the lunch combs, the full Pizza Delight menu and the full local menu. It would be impossible not to find something to your taste. Stopped here for lunch and I had a pizza my wife had the clam chowder. The pizza was pretty standard and the clam chowder was quite good. "There is not much in hawke’s bay, but maynard’s pizza pasta restaurant is a good place to eat. we were part of a road scholar tour, and the restaurant offered a great selection of good pizzas. the ingredients were good, and there were plenty of cheese. on the pizzas. if they are on the way from st. anthony’s back to deer lake, this is a welcome lunch break."
