eating was amazing. we have tried all tacos birrie and garnelen were the favorites. the elote was so fresh and ingenious! we used to make reservations for this experience and it was not disappointed. we were betrayed that they had run out of the flan early in the evening, so they ask it as soon as they are there! What Julie Kenar doesn't like about Frame:
The restaurant is extremely expensive, with a dinner for two costing $400. Only two courses included meat, actually seafood - diced tuna and fried oysters. There was also an 18% facility charge on top of the food and drink total. This charge does not include tip. I do not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning. I arrived at the restaurant without a reservation and was seated promptly. Our server was attentive and informed us that a new chef comes in every month, resulting in a constantly changing menu. The appetizer and drinks were served quickly. I chose the mole short ribs for my main course and it was excellent. The server provided detailed explanations of each dish. The food was delicious and satisfying, and I will definitely consider returning to Frame when I am in the Hazel Park area again. Service: Dine-in.
Title: sold a lie or not what I expected.. IDk! Went to one of those food experiences, hated it!! The portions were small, food was blend, and we had to share every food item with our party except the soup shocker! because they only gave us one appetizer very small with crackers that were broken all up!! We had to sit in this cramped small room behind the bathrooms and tables were touching, we were suuuuper close to strangers, I couldn't even bend my arm to pick up my silverware without bumping the poor lady nice lady next to me. We also had to share water jugs with the strangers. Ticket said the experience started at 8:30pm, no food until 9pm. I received an email telling us about gratuity expectations, but did not mention they were going to pressure you into buying drinks for 30 mins before they sever the food. I'm not talking light pressure either!! Our waitress only came by to try and shovel more drinks on our bill! It was all a money grab, not an experience! $300 dollar for 2 ppl!!!!! What a rip off! Was not worth my hard earned money. I much rather went to Ruth Chris's for that price!! I'm so disappointed, I was looking forward to this all week! It was the biggest let down of my year thus far! I could have bought Beyoncé or T. Swift concert tickets with the $300. . So annoyed! I would love my money and time wasted back!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy. We give it top marks all around: Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.
