"This probably wasn't a good evening to visit the location, but we went as we had received recommendations from local people. Service was slow, mainly because the place was hosting a political event with press and television. Food selection is extensive, and some dishes were very good, while some others were a little below par. I was very happy to have the choice between a fully trimmed strip loin steak and one which still had the bone and some fat."

"I find that Quebec has a plethora of hometown do-it-all style restaurants that serve breakfast through supper with tons of options at affordable prices. Coco-Rico is a good example of this type of place. I had one of the best Tourtière de Lac St. Jean at this restaurant and the tarte aux bluets was tasty and not too sweet. My wife had a shrimp dish that was decent, but came with a bit too much cheese.Restaurant Coco-Rico is not fancy and doesn't pretend to be. If you want fancy, go somewhere else. If you want to have decent food with locals for a great price, check out this place."
