Bodacious -b-q - Henderson

I love going here every time I visit Henderson, we usually get the sandwich combo, but this last time we have the ribbed plate and they were very good.

Bodacious BBQ well you'd be hard-pressed to get better brisket. But what I enjoy about this location is they go out of their way to make sure that someone with a gluten allergy does not get poison. If you're a fan of red meat or if you have an allergy you won't regret paying them a visit.

I ordered the brisket lean. It is excellent. Robust flavor and ample portions. The pork ribs have plenty of meat and have good flavor as well. There's a nice rub on them and very very little sauce. You can add that yourself. Speaking of, there's only one sauce which has a nice smoky, tangy flavor. It's quite good. The potato salad is excellent, which I don't find very often. The baked beans are reminiscent of charro beans and not really baked beans per se. They're good but the least impactful thing on the plate. My two item combo with two sides and a drink came to $24.67.

This is a well known BBQ restaurant in East Texas. Its not bad, but not the best I have had either. BBQ can be pretty expensive, but I expected a little more for the price. The atmosphere is nice and the people are great. Worth the stop if you are in town. Certainly, quality is on par with other BBQs in the area.

First visit tonight and oh my gosh I will definitely make the trek from Henderson to Nacogdoches again! Everything was great, from service, food, staff, atmosphere, even prices.
