"We have just returned from a foodie holiday in Melbourne, this was our first meal out back in Perth and what a delight. It is a classy but casual authentic Malaysian Restaurant. We could smell the fragrant food as we stepped out of our car. Lovely, friendly, fresh clean atmosphere with good background music. We shared entrees of chicken satay, roti with daal and samosa. For the main course we had a beef and a chicken chef special, fish curry and the chefs burger (son!) All dishes were presented exceptionally well, their use of spice was superb, well balanced and with great depth. All the meat was tender and the small accompanying salads were very fresh and crisp. We shared two desserts, the pandan creme caramel and the black rice porridge. The texture of the creme caramel was perfectly light and my husband said the black rice was the best he had had. We also had a drink each, I was pleasantly suprised by the rose syrup, milk and cream soda combo and my son loved his dinosaur milo! The whole meal was incredibly good value (under $120 for the four of us). Staff were lovely, efficient and friendly without being overbearing. Great communication. We will certainly be recommending it to friends and returning next time we are up in Perth. Definitely worth the trip."

"We had the degustation dinner with matching wines. All of the dishes were lovely, but the confit duck l'orange was the agreed highlight. We started with a small cup of cream of asparagus soup as the amuse bouche, served with sparkling wine. The first starter for me was a goats cheese eclair with asparagus and green sauce, which was lovely with the accompanying Sauvignon Blanc. W (who is intolerant to cheese) had a steak tartare, which he enjoyed. Next we had scallops on black pudding with Chardonnay, then a delightful pineapple sorbet, which was followed by the confit duck with Pinot noir. The final main dish was a rack of lamb served with Shiraz. I then had the cheese plate, which had a Roquefort, La Bouche D'Affinois, some walnuts, raisins and preserved fruit with bread and crackers. W had a small custard tart, and we both had glasses of Pedro Ximenez.
