"Excellent cider brewery! For those who don't entirely love beer but want the brewery experience with amazing food check out Bold Rock. The chicken nachos have an enormous portion with tremendous flavor. The IPA cider is the best dry cider with a beer flavor minus the hoppy after taste. Dogs and children friendly! They even have wear, Frisbee, stickers, etc for sale. The growler carrier is well made and economical- recommended for anyone carrying a growler around this season."

"First time in Hendersonville and visiting this brewery. I had the Marzen and my wife had the Kolsch. Beer flavor was mediocre at best. We live just outside of Charlotte and have an excellent beer selection everywhere we go. All that being said I will always give a brewery another shot."

"I was underwhelmed throughout most of the dining experience. Most of it came down to the food itself. You are paying close to fine dining prices but not getting the fine dining experience.We started with the pork belly bites and baguette. The herb butter that came with the baguette was great, and the baguette was soft and crunchy. The pork belly bites were cooked properly, but the dish felt a bit sweet with the orange sauce that the pork was covered in. The slaw that came with it added a nice texture, but it was also sweet.I ordered the tempura soft shell crabs and again, the crab was cooked properly, but it was really sweet this time. They put way to much sweet chili sauce or whatever sauce they were using on it, and it overpowered the dish. Shine has some good things going on, but in my opinion I felt that the dishes could be done differently."

"Awesome place. Wife and I ate there twice over the weekend. Burgers and wings were really great as well as the chicken tenders. If you like wings with a little heat and a lot of taste try the EVIL sauce top notch! Award winning burgers and homemade fry 's are great."

"Really enjoyed our lunch at DLK We had seen them on Restaurant Impossible and were excited to stop in.We were very warmly welcomed upon entering and the place is charming. Was neat to see what Chef Irvine his team had done with the place and Ray his team are taking great care of it.I ordered the fried salmon bites, collard greens, sweet potato tots sweet tea, and my hubby ordered a dozen wings, patty mely, fried okra, and coke zero. We satbdown at a cozy 2-seater table, but our sweet waitress said with all the food coming, we would have much elbow room she wanted to let us know. We took her word and moved to a 4-seater table nearby.She was right! Omg! Great servings for great price (as you can see from pics) and it was delicious! The salmon bites were paired with a spicy Asian sauce that was delicious, the greens were perfect, and those tender tots were perfect. My hubby really enjoyed his patty melt (as did I when I tasted it!)that was flavorful and hit you from the first taste of the crisp tender bread rich with butter. I kept stealing his okra, which was also just right and ate at least half his wings! Lol. Said I was hungry!!!We will be back again as I want to try out his ox tail as well as the catfish bites and banana pudding.Next time you're up that way between Lake Lure and Grand Dads Orchard, please stop in. You won't be disappointed. Also, as update from something I saw in an older post, the now take cash or card?"
