"Went for lunch with our 7 year old son and it was perfect. Gorgeous food, great kids menu, lovely historic venue and staff warm, friendly and highly skilled. "Ordered a takeaway for collection after work, no issue with the waiting time and service was good at the counter... The horrors only started when I got home, two portions of chips completely undercooked, needed more time in the fryer, chicken was so chewy we had to keep leaving the table to put in the bin, the rice was so hard every dish we had was not edible, disgusting as this cost over £30. For my daughter to use the word 'minging ' to describe her dinner was just about right. We 've used the takeaway service here many many times in the past but tonight was definitely our last."
