"Nice hotel. I didn't stay as a guest, but I had dinner one night. It's very pricy for what you get. I paid 170 NOK for a bottle of cidre almost 15GBP. The staff was nice and friendly, but I found it strange that many of the staff there did not speak Norwegian in the summer! Everyone has spoken English! Is definitely worth a visit, but check before you order something to eat or drink."

"Friendly staff and a nice looking restaurant. Unfortunately the food is not very special. We had the fish soup as starter and the salmon and veggie burger as mains. It's not bad but I do not believe it's home made. It all tasted industrial like food you eat in a road side restaurant. On top of that the smell of the frying pan is predominant. Unfortunately only filter coffee, which was made a long time ago. The owner can do so much more with this lovely location. Please invest in a proper air filtering system, a proper coffee machine and start preparing the food yourself."

"I had a great time while I was at Ciderhuset! Family business of lemons and juices since 1922. The hosts are more than welcoming and the view from the house is mesmerizing! Very recommended for groups and events."

"We are only available for drinks, a 15-minute walk from Balastrand city centre. Follow the sign. It is a beautiful place, with very warm and friendly service. The drinks (cider and alcohol-free) were really great. Prices are even higher for Norwegian standards than the average. Try to get a table on the first floor on the balcony, great views over the fjord. The food is very well closed, but we haven't eaten there."

"We celebrated the birthday of our sohne in restaurant. the menu is quite short, but the food we ordered was good. They made a menu salad for my vegeterian daughter and came with a festive dessert for my son. service was over expectation and made our evening meal particularly pleasant. Thank you."
