Contribute Feedback What Tom B doesn't like about Ming Hing Chinese:
They must nuke the soup can't have it for at least 45minutes and you could taste the plastic container.....boneless ribs deep fried then placed in wok it's know called NY.1 China my last visit to#2 View all feedback.
I ordered three lunch dishes: chicken and broccoli, sesame chicken, and chicken chow mein. We had to search for the chicken in the chicken chow mein, the sesame chicken consisted of ridiculously tiny pieces of chicken, and the chicken with broccoli was equally lacking. It's a shame; this place used to be a decent alternative to Chen's (which hasn't been the same since the original owners sold). It seems they are now cutting corners. To make matters worse, the delivery guy was downright unpleasant. I've never encountered someone so disinterested, disgruntled, and rude while working for tips. There was a bit of a language barrier when he called, but I tried to understand him and remained patient. This led to him angrily shouting back at me on the phone. When I came to the door, he seemed more inclined to wait in his car for me to open the door rather than deliver the food. Apparently, his time was more valuable than my order. I asked if he rang the doorbell and apologized for not hearing it, but he gave me no response. I asked again, "Sir, did you ring my doorbell?" His scowling response was a simple "no." When I received my change, he neglected to give me the loose change, which was about 75 cents. It may not seem like a big deal, but it's my money, and I should have the choice to give it as a tip if I want to. I asked about my remaining change and if he was keeping it, but there was no response. I asked one more time, and surprisingly, he managed to angrily pull out my exact change from his pocket. The food isn't that great anymore, the chicken portions are a joke, and the employees are rude and seem to enjoy playing games with customers. Goodbye, Ming Hing—I'm throwing your menu in the trash.
The service was poor, the food was heavy with MSG, and overall, it just didn't taste good.
Awful experience, the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Don't trust any positive reviews; they’re likely written by the staff or owners. I wouldn't give it even one star—it's that bad! I couldn't even eat the food; it was terrible! Stay away from this place!
Be cautious about the prices. They tried to charge an extra dollar to serve the sauce on the side, which I had never encountered before for a lunch special. Additionally, my order came with just one piece of broccoli. What a disappointment. It felt like a waste.
The soup must have been microwaved because I waited at least 45 minutes for it, and I could taste the plastic container it came in. The boneless ribs were deep-fried and then tossed in a wok. This place is now called NY.1 China. This was my last visit to #2.
