"We're going through here at night in hico. the people there were really nice a beautiful historical place. I was looking for a good steak dinner was really surprised at the cost, actually most expensive steak I saw. "Had to wait nearly 30 minutes- But this was due to the fact that it would seem that nearly everyone in town gets their orders ahead here. The wait was absolutely worth it. I got a sampler (Taco, Flauta, Gordita, beans and rice) Was about 11 dollars and I was unable to finish, but was easily the best authentic mexican I've had in this part of Texas. Coming from San Antonio and having tried a wide variety of Mexican and Tex-mex I can honestly say this truck has a damn good cook in the kitchen. Will be coming here often."

"Everyone seems to have a great gas station taco Mexican food story and now I have mine. This is a small, family run, authentic Mexican restaurant and it did not disappoint. Reasonable prices, excellent food. While it may be short on ambience--except that it is exactly what it should be, do not miss this. Probably the best beef enchilada I have ever had--just really well done. Highly recommend this hidden gem in Hico."

"Ordered at 7:07. Got my food the first time in typical time. Ate everything, but the burger. Then got to the burger and it was a single instead of a double. Lady came out and took it back and apologized. 10 minutes later I call in asking about my burger. The lady went on break and did not pass on to bring it out. 2nd attempt at my burger they did not care about the recipe or how I asked for my burger. So burger had pickles, one slice of cheese, and just enough mayo for a bite. New recipe is ketchup as well right? Took me another 5 minutes to get sauces. Finally able to eat my burger at 7:53. You want my receipt? Well luckily I order online. No receipts were given to me at all."
