Lovely 17th century coaching inn, great character in a great location. We stayed in room 7 had its own separate entrance from the pub. Lovely spacious room. Only downside was noise from the room upstairs, they were up and pacing around till the early hours of the morning, running water, flushing toilets etc which kept waking us up and again at 5am. Avoid, avoid, avoid. There are plenty of options for dining in Castleton, ensure you chose carefully. Booked a table of four at 1830 last night. Arrived at 1825. Shown to table. 1845 we were asked if we had ordered? No. Ordered and some drinks.
