Visited twice in 5 days, once in the more formal eating areas and once in the bar area, same menu, we only ate fish and it was excellent, well presented, tasty...

This was our first visit to the boat house and my wife and I had a lovely lunch with a table overlooking the marina..We both had Asian chicken wings as a starte...

Lovely restaurant by the loch. Asian chicken wings were delicious. We were well looked after by Suzy who was very attentive. Will be returning. .

"We were in Ballachulish two nights and liked this place so much we had dinner there twice. Our best two meals in Scotland. I wouldn't give it high points for ambiance, but wow, the food is excellent. Favorites were the goat cheese bon bons and the sea bass. The prices are incrediby reasonable."

"It is a nice place. Sadly, the steak was terrible, but the chicken and veg soup of the day was lovely! I also enjoyed the chunky chips. Very noisy, be aware of that if you are looking to wind down and relax after a hike, etc."

"Don't bother going if you're looking for a nice Sunday lunch. To say the menu is limited is an understatement. The vegetarian option was nonexistent. It's a shame because it is a beautiful place in a gloorious setting. I would have loved to sit and eat looking out over the loch. Service: 3 Location: 5"

"I've been here years ago and had good memories so was looking forward to a nice solo meal. I should have stayed in my campsite and cooked for myself. I had the scallops large plate. They arrived suspiciously fast. Each scallop had a slightly coloured top which turned out to be unchewable. The rest of it was poor very soft and wet. They did not look like they should if served straight from the pan with a crisp seared top. They were presented on a deeply unpleasant mushy pea porridge with about a teaspoon of black pudding crumb. The waiter agreed with me the pea base wasn't nice but that was it. He said he told the chef. No apology. I paid the bill after refusing the service charge and beat a hasty retreat to my campsite for biscuits and cheese. Won't be returning!"
