Overall, Bar One seems to be a hit or miss experience, but worth considering for its vegan options and friendly staff.
Nice eating. the haggis bon bons were amazing! we had fish and chips as our main thing and the Jackfruit fish is a part of the best faux fish I've ever eaten! very impressed by the entire experience, exceptional customer service! the only thing I would say is that I feel thicker cut chips for a more authentic fish and chip, but we still absolutely loved it! we were so grateful to find a little vegan oasis in the highlands!
Nice eating, loaded smoked tofu hotdogs, we tried 3 of the 4 toppings, had no thunfish melt and pommes. all really good, dog welcome and given a bowl of water and tasty. next time we come back, we are in the 'ness
Super friendly staff in a cozy furnished room, offering delicious vegan food of all kinds. had the cheese and haggis sandwich with brown brot and broken mushrooms with vegan home made mayo. yum! the cake we tried was also very tasty.
That was the best meal we had in inverness hands down. the mood of this place is so lovely and beautiful. the gentleman who served us really went beyond the expectations of the customer service. he brought us homemade marshmallows after our meal, filled our food for us and wrote what the meal plus the allergens was on each of the boxes, and went and brought me more gravy out of the kitchen for my box without even asking me! I highly recommend checking this place. the food was incredibly delicious and we love to support small business honey! they should taste the chocolate milkshakes and haggis bon bons.
As recommended by a local blogger I paid a visit (after a stressful day of automotive failure and expense) and just what I needed: secluded, calm, friendly staff and good food and cakes. I tried vegan cheese and haggis toastie. Yes, a good experience I'd be hard put to differentiate the vegan version from the original, unless I guess I was served them side by side.
