"As others have indicated in recent reviews, the behaviour of the leading staff member completely ruined our visit here. I take Covid precautions very seriously but the way we (and others) were spoken to (more like shouted at) by the female staff member as we...sat at our table was ridiculous. The food was average too."

"A beautiful, untouched caffe. it was nice to sit outside. the ingredients were of very high quality in the Scottish breakfast, fabulous black pudding. the gluten-free cake from chocolate and the red wine was delicious and the rose leaves on the top were added to the taste. the coffee is always a bone of satisfaction, but it was very good. can not wait to go back"

"I 'm not sure I 've ever experienced anything this bad; seriously! The landlord has got to be the most unwelcoming and rude person I have ever encountered in my 39 years on this earth. The door was open; it was 10pm and we entered for a drink to end a lovely evening in Newtonmore. I approached the bar to order a drink as my partner sat at a free table. We were screamed at and told we weren 't hotel guests, we hadn 't booked a table and in no uncertain terms weren 't welcome for a drink in a largely empty bar on this basis. We were literally chased from the establishment by the man claiming to own this 'hell hole ' he followed us out on to the street shouting. I am amazed he has any customers at all based on our experience. I would avoid this place at all costs! The bad reviews I 've just read on tripadvisor ring true; this company don 't deserve a penny of your hard earned money. Hospitality! A word the 'hotelier ' should research... and find a different vocation most certainly : S"
