"Waited in a half empty restaurant for 40 minutes for a cold hamburger! The fries were nasty and the service was no existent! When the food finally did arrive , we then had to ask for cutlery. Everything was extra and people just left as no one took orders . Poor poor poor"

"We loved staying here, this place is a real gem of a classic Scottish hotel. The dinner we had in the hotel restaurant was superb: really enjoyed the level of service we received. Breakfast the next morning was also excellent, one of the best we had on our trip through Scotland. "Had a wonderful tasting experience here... they have a few flights to try, but we built our own, and then tried several more. Charlie was amazingly knowledgeable and friendly, and he led us to a few single bottles they had chosen in the distillery. In all, one of the best whisky bars I've ever had.
