Adorable Hotel on the main road in downtown HIGHLANDS. My room was impeccable and stylish with a very comfortable bed. The lobby is cozy with a wood stove. The hotel staff was polite and welcoming. After I checked out and was good at my car home, they called me to know that I left my AirPods in my room. I really didn't want to turn around to get her because I miss putting my son in bed. Great hotel. So picturesque and in the best location and the most beautiful interior. I don't write reviews, but we were definitely disappointed by the service during low season. No fire in the lobby and the bar/restaurant closed at 5 p.m., that was so enthralled as we were so excited to drink a front dinner there. "Lovely, classy spot in Old Edward’s Inn. Service was excellent as was the food. Trout dip pimiento cheese came served with delicious and different homemade crackers. "I am originally from S. Florida, so I have had my fair share of Cuban sandwiches over the years. This is up their with the best I have ever had and in Dillard GA you totally wouldn't expect it. We also got a pork burrito and the flavor and execution of it were perfect.Anytime I am even close, I will be stopping in. The food and staff were top notch. So good to have somewhere to go to get Cuban/Latin food, cause majority of the restraunts in the area are just not exciting!"

"Came in for lunch today! I was so impressed with everything. We had the Korean teriyaki wings and the lobster ravioli which both were beyond fantastic! Tad was our waiter and treated us wonderfully! Can't wait till we are able to go back especially to try a dessert. BTW The menu changes everyday based on what the chefs deem the best."

"Karen and I have eaten all over the world in some amazing restaurants and experienced some Michelin rated chefs. We found the cuisine at On The Verandah to be not only excellent but imaginative. A small, be very creative, selection of international wines made the evening ever that much more special. Who would have thought a restaurant on a mountain road outside of Highlands could have been so good? Before we left we made reservations for a week later, and cancelled our reservation to another well regarded restaurant in town. That should tell you something!"

"We always enjoy the Oak Steakhouse in Charleston and were happy to see that had a restaurant in Highlands. The service and food were outstanding. From our cocktail at the bar served by Christine to our delicious meal served by Breanna. We both had the steak and frites and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Melt in your mouth good. We ended our meal with some delicious mango sorbet. It was top notch from start to finish."
