"Delicious strawberries and produce, excellent preserves and other goods, absolutely exceptional strawberry shortcake and other freshly made foods! We stopped getting the strawberry shortcake from the strawberry festival or anywhere else for that matter because this is the best one. The Cuban sandwiches and other strawberry desserts are fantastic as well; we usually have to get at least one of each dessert whenever we go here. The staff is absolutely delightful and efficient. This place is well worth the inevitable line to get to the service counter."

"Doc Fords never misses! There isn't a bad dish on the menu. My particular fav is the Yucatán peel and eat shrimp. The sauce has a bite to it and you dip your fresh bread in it for a double treat with shrimp and bread. Delicious! Everyone I have dined with have said their meal was fantastic- no matter what they have ordered! We always eat outdoors and the bay setting, palm trees and breeze just make the experience even better! If that wasn't enough, later in the day (maybe around 6pm ish, but better to check. I could be wrong about the time) they have live music outside in the sand to provide entertainment. You won't be able to talk much to your co-diners, but enjoy the music! Long and short, Doc Fords is a must."

"Great casual clean place for food and of course beer. We both had the wedge steak salad and it was very good. The server was knowledgeable and friendly. The value was good. It was a little hot (temperature) and loud. It appeared they had only one bathroom for all customers. When you’re a beer establishment, that’s inadequate."

"We have eaten here for brunch several times and this time the service was very bad. our hostess was snippy and rude. the waiting staff was very slow, he didn't come back to the table to drink or to ask if everything was in order. eating was as wonderful as always, which was formed for the bad service."

"I’m always a little hesitant to eat out for breakfast since most places tend to disappoint. Being out of town, we decided to try something new and different and I can not say enough good things about this place. From the shirts with cute sayings, to the black and white tile floor, and the visible kitchen the atmosphere is excellent. We had a very short wait time, especially considering that it’s New Year’s Day and the place was packed. We were also a rather large party, but they moved people through efficiently. But the best part?! The food. We had the Chicken and Waffles, Croissant French Toast, Cinnamon Apple Pancakes, San Francisco Benedict, and a Kids’ Belgian Waffle. The waffles were light and fluffy, the chicken was moist, crispy, and full flavor. It was paired with a sweet spicy sauce, and the waffles had a strawberry butter that was absolutely decadent. The SF Benedict had an entire avocado and the eggs were perfectly poached. And the French toast? As a baker (who makes croissants every day) I was nervous to try it, but it did not disappoint. It was tender and crispy and full of flavor. I almost forgot the pancakes, they were huge, tender, and had a cinnamon whipped cream on top as well as the butter, the apple flavor was perfect and well balanced with the cinnamon. I will add that we originally came here for the hash browns because I love diner hash browns.m- these were sheer perfection. If I could give this place 50 stars (or 500 like my kids suggested) I would. This is definitely going to my list of favorites and highly recommended restaurants."
