Not eaten here for 25 years. Another great place to eat. My son liked the meat of Jun and Mandoos.

It's old time plantations foods and could a menue revision maybe pickled Combo seaweed and a bit of tempura veggies with a home made Dashi , over wholesomeness...

"Very delightful spot in Hilo with an amazing positive vibe in the air. Gentle breeze and soft music and beautiful chatter of people having a great time. Food is incredible, and very decorative. "Great place. Friendly people. Great food. What is not to like. Absolutely here. I recommend factoring in some time as waiting could take a long time. We had omelets, French toast, waffles and pancakes. Everything was great. Come back."

"Absolutely pleasing. Was ready in 20 minutes on a Friday night during dinner time. Food is perfectly cooked, vegetables and shrimp are perfect texture. Flavors are great. They are very sweet and made us great! Portions are also huge!"

"This is a great Diner style of eating. Very clean and wonderfully fresh food. You wait outside the door to be seated and sanitizer is provided to sanitize your hands upon entry. The waiter/waitress are all friendly and efficient. The food came out quickly and the drinks were constantly refilled. The side salad was not permanent and wrapped, they put it together when it was ordered. All fresh ingredients. The price is one of the best in the area and you get a plateful of food. I would be a regular to this place."

"Overall, this place is nice. I came with my grandma and we got the raw matcha-cacao pie, pesto sandwich, and cassava pizza. The first two were great, but I would not get the pizza again. Definitely really healthy, but my tastes buds weren't up to par lol. The cassava crust was made of shredded cassava instead of something like cassava flour, and it was mixed with turmeric. Bleh."

"Food was bad. Service was HORRIBLE. DISGUSTING AND RUDE KITCHEN STAFF. Not a great place to have food at. 1. Staff is very rude when complained about sour palak paneer (probably due to cream), under cooked lamb, undercooked peas, sour mango lassi, burned veg pakora they said next time food will be better. On requesting if they can cook it again for us, they rudely declined. This is tourist place where we will not come again. 2. Ambiance was not welcoming. When we complained to the chef and manager they were more interested in cutting the talk about the food and doing small talk about where we are from. Bathrooms, sitting area as unclean and unhygienic. Unfortunately there aren't any other Indian food options on Big Island otherwise their business would have shutdown already. Their other branch in Kona has really good food. Probably the kitchen staff including the cook are good people who know their job and are good reasonable human beings. "My family and I went to Hawaiian Style Cafe in Hilo recently and my biggest complaint (and only complaint) was that all foods looked delicious and we live in California, so we need to wait until the next vacation to try other things. The food was exceptional and the waiting staff was friendly and efficient. Just the best meal we had in Hawaii."

"Food was excellent and so was our service by Katie and Will!!! Found out they have Karaoke on Wednesday and Thursday nights, starts at 8pm. Also open mic night on Monday!! We will definitely come back!"
