"We visited this place for a family dinner, just before we visited So. Leyte for our other island visit. I have a big family, so we arrived in the restaurant in 3 separate three-wheelers, car and single-wheeled bikes. We ordered 3 huge trays. They used this large round form of native materials that the locals call it 'nigo' fed with fresh banana leaves. It was amazing to see so mouth water. We ordered 16 mango shakes, 4 or 5 beer border, iced tea and water for drinks. It was nice to see my family, especially the children, they really enjoyed the meals. We were on a hut that stood above the water, so now and then we had little water spray from below, but it was fun. I love the place and we go back there. The only little complaint is that her food is a little salty for me, maybe because I'm used to cook our own home in Melbourne. Overall, it was amazing especially the service, we did not have to wait that long, considering that there are about 20 of us."

"Passed this place as we were heading back home from our trip down St. Bernard. A good friend recommend La Veranda, and we gave it a go. This is one of the few places that we would love to go back. Food serve is really good. Ambiance is a great place to relax after a long drive. They offer 'boodle food set ' enough for about 6 8 people, priced at 1680php. Included in boodle set are: rice, lumpia shanghai, grilled fish, grilled squid, pancit, calamares, kinilaw (Filipino version of Ceviche raw fish marinated in vinegar and spices) boiled crab, fried shrimp, topped up with fresh mango, and softdrinks. They also have family meals with different set to choose from. One delightful thing, la Veranda staff even offered to buy the medicine (anti emetic) when one of us asked for the nearest pharmacy is Bato to buy the said medicine. One great example of a 5 star staff experience. Hence, we will pass by la Veranda again when we have the opportunity. Thanks la Veranda for giving one happy tummy community!"
