What User doesn't like about Koishiya Ryokan:
vegetarian options are featured on the menu waiter language very little English so took us a little time to derive which vegan options we could order. we ended with a large part of frying (very tasty and homemade,) roasted mushrooms (very fat, too heavy on the teig and missing taste,) silken tofu and a little bite. this was only 1 out of 2 places in this tiny city that served veg / vegan and this place came down. dri... we stayed for 1 night in april 2019 and had the fries, beerbatter mushrooms and an salad for dinner (very delicious). there are no vegan options for breakfast, but we knew that before. the ryokan itself is very old-fashioned, but we slept very well. there is no onsen bath in the house, but free shuttle service to connected ryokans onsen. the staff was very friendly, speak English and they even drove us to the snow af...
