"This is a fancy chinese restaurant. We had dim sum on Sunday. The dim sum items are delicious and authentic. The egg custard is really good. The staff are very professional, responsive and attentive. If you are willing to spend a bit more for a good chinese food, you should try this one."

"The restaurant is attractive and has an interesting history as a former jam factory. The fixed price menu (AD$100) was selected by the chef and we opted for the five wine pairing menu (AD $75). Each dish is small, delicious and artfully presented. In general..., the wines paired beautifully with the exception of the Fume Blanc and smoked goat curd- which overpowered the wine. Restaurant building has an interesting history involving convict labor and jam factory."

"Came here for breakfast after I arrived in Hobart for the weekend and couldn’t decide what I wanted but everything was so good the first day I ended up coming back every morning to try more. Everything was delicious but the baked goods were unsurprisingly the highlight, the duck sausage roll, chorizo puff pastry and all the fruit scrolls were equally delicious and so cheap! Great coffee also"

"Local friends recommended this place. Unusual decor and quite dark which is a shame as the food surely looked as good as it tasted?We shared several dishes (that's the restaurant's concept, which was explained to us at some length) which were all good, except we were sometimes unsure about which dish was what due to the dim lighting. The pork belly was fabulous!The bill came as a slight shock - it's not a cheap dining choice. Still, I'd come back just to have that pork belly again- maybe during daylight hours."

"First of all, I wanna say that this Japanese restaurant in Battery Point is the best Wanted to have some Japanese food, and man, who had known we could find some hidden gem We read the review before coming here (that said a Japanese friend of someone recommened this place . Off we went and we truly loved it. Food was amazing, not to forget about the hospitality from the staff. The restaurant itself was tiny but the decorations were very Japanese-styled (oh the neko/cat cushions were so cute aww . The top 3 food we would love to recommend: Squid Karaage, Sukiyaki, and Nasu Dengaku. (Black sesame ice cream was also . Best eat in Hobart!!! xx Definitely recommend this place. 10/10!!"
