"We were spontaneously in the Klosterschänke today. The man chose the restaurant and I must say it was a very good choice. There is a very nice beer garden and since the weather was still great today, we sat outside. It is also great that there is a small playground for the Kiddies. Our children weren't with us, but it's great anyway. We have always thought about coming to Sunday brunch. I'm going to dinner. The menu is small and fine and there are also seasonal dishes on an extra card. It is also very large that the allergens were shown at each court. So I was able to make my choice as a gluten allergy disease. I had the big salad with roasted salmon and feta, and the man had the carving with spices and fries. Everything was tasteful and delicious! Prices are moderate and very good. All in all a Kleinod in the middle of Dresden. We'll be back."

"I discovered this place quite by accident--it was within walking distance of my hotel (An der Rennbahn, which I have reviewed elsewhere). It's a seafood restaurant, an excellent one, run by young Matthias Schwindt, who hails from Rügen in the North Sea. The menu is...extensive but also includes smaller plates if you don't feel like a big meal. I ordered perch-pike, which came with some delicious vegetables and small potato pancakes. The service was friendly and unobtrusive; it isn't a fancy place at all, just gemütlich friendly and comfortable. In good weather there is a garden with tables and umbrellas; otherwise you eat in a vault-like underground room that looks like a movie set for Pirates of the Caribbean Even if you stay in Dresden's town center, which many tourists do, you can easily reach this place on the or tram, which is in itself a fun experience."

"Wer denkt schon an Meer in Sachsen? Um so mehr überrascht das Restaurant Schifftor im sächsischen Pirna mit maritimen Flair und Speisen, die durchaus auch in einem Hafenrestaurant am Meer feilgeboten werden könnten. Vorab gratinierte Austern...sehr delikat, im Anschluss Dorsch, perfekt gegart, ganz klassisch mit einer leichten Senfsoße. Dazu wurde ein leichter Rosé empfohlen, der vorzüglich mundete. Die freundliche Serviererin machte das Gastronomieerlebnis perfekt."

"Wir hatten uns auf Burger und Co gefreut wurden jedoch von der Thekenbedienung so unfreundlich angesprochen, dass der Appetit gleich weg war... Originalton "da können sie nicht sitzen - da sollten sie mal mit mir vorher kommunizieren... wir haben nur bis 19 Uhr Tische frei (es war 17.20 - sollte fpr einen Burger ja reichen! ?). "Waren zu zweit spontan im Brauhaus eingekehrt. Die große Terrasse war schon komplett voll, aber drinnen fand sich noch ein uriges Plätzchen. Es waren auch nicht alle Räumlichkeiten des Restaurants geöffnet.Es gibt jeden Tag einen Angebotstag, bei uns war das Maß Bier besonders günstig zu haben was wir natürlich ausnutzten. Das hausgebraute Bier ist natürlich besonders hervorzuheben und schmeckt sehr gut. Als Essen wählten wir verschiedene Variationen mit Schnitzel. Die Bratkartoffeln war lecker deftig, das Schnitzel hingegen nicht mein Fall. Sehr dicke pappige Panade - das habe ich anderswo schon besser gegessen. Die Wartezeiten auf Getränke und Essen waren trotz gut besuchtem Haus kurz, etwas störend war dass wir von insgesamt 3 Servicekräften bedient wurden. Aber alle waren stets freundlich und zuvorkommend wie man das erwartet."
