"Dropped in late afternoon while driving through to Townsville. Girls were very friendly I ordered coffee pineapple carrot cake. Both were delicious Only slight downside was $6 cake. Thought that was quite expensive but the serve was reasonably generous it came with a cake fork paper napkin. Would recommend a visit will return on the way home to Brisbane."

"Recently visited for a family 80th birthday surprise party. Cannot express enough how impressed this city resident was with this hotel. The pub meal was ONE OF THE BEST I have had in my travels (national and international) with exceptional value for money. This meal was so large and flavor some it would easily have fed two. Service was friendly with all meals coming out at once so that everyone was eating together and the table was cleaned up timely at the conclusion of everyone eating. A must stop when visiting this country town!!"

"The girl took a long time to ask me what I wanted at the speaker cause she was laughing so much. Probably joking around instead of doing her job. Then got my order wrong so i had to repeat it. Then when i drove up to pay she wasnt at the window and i waited and she didnt turn up so i drove to the 'collect ur food ' window and the young man said id have to reverse up to pay or drive around again!! No offer to take my card and pay pass it. I started to reverse but then a car came. So i had to drive around and through again. Now there was a line of about 5 cars so i had to wait just to pay and when i gt to the window the girl was still laughing, I was so put off. Lucky this was just a maccas trip and not a 5 star restaurant or theyd be out of business for sure."

"Had the roast special of the day. Nice roast beef, big serving. Helped ourselves to lots of lovely vegetables from the salad and veg. bar which was included in price of meal. Very friendly and efficient staff. Great to meet the manager who was most helpful. Good clean well run club with country atmosphere, would go there again."

"I never usually leave reviews but this deserved one, not for any good reasons. The food was below average and the chef/?owner was incredibly rude both to customers and staff. The young girl behind the counter was lovely and trying her hardest but I will never be coming back to this place."
