What mary McKenzie likes about Beluga And Grill:
This was a great restaurant with awesome food. The halibut and chips were excellent. The burger was very tasteful with a brioche bun! The manager was extremely nice! Great overall experience! View all feedback.

What Jeff Lindgren doesn't like about Beluga And Grill:
Food was not available because they rented out the restaurant. The whole reason why we booked at this place was because it had a restaurant .So we would not have to go somewhere else to eat after a long day of fishing and travels. View all feedback.

I didn't have time to eat there, I was busy fishing and driving a bus.

"We made reservations for a special night out with a friend. We were there when they opened (they are taking reservations only I believe and ours was for 5p and had a great table. The menu is written on large boards towards the back, so you might want to take a look before seating as the board is a bit tough to read depending on where you sit. The service was excellent, from everyone we encountered. It 's casual but offers a great chance to dress up and fit in still, and they have a full bar. The dinner menu is limited to seasonal specials right now which was great, and they had a more causal menu with burgers and fries as well (a few went by us and be forewarned the burgers were HUGE! . We started with apps: Tempura Mushrooms, Ahi Poke and Seared Ahi. All three were excellent, but we all agreed the Poke was the best. Very fresh, the sauces to dip add the perfect spice, and the sides (rice, seaweed, pickled onions were perfect. The mushroom were delicious and light- the Mermaid sauce was tasty but a bit heavy for the mushrooms, but the honey mustard was just right. The seared tuna was done perfectly and came with the dames sides as the poke. For entrees we had the Pasta Romanesco with prawns and rockfish, the Local Rockfish and the Prawns Satay. The pasta comes with penne... a LOT of it. It was too soft for me and lacked seasoning. The sauce itself was great, fish well cooked, and the bright pesto on top went perfectly with it as did the spinach. The Satay dish was good as well, and the Rockfish dish was unique. The fish was cooked well but the pickle butter was a bit much. The mashed potatoes under it made for a lack of texture in the dish, but the veggies served with it were perfect. For dessert we had chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting, carrot cakes and a pecan pie (it was in a large tart crust . All were delicious but the pecan pie stole the show. It had homemade vanilla ice cream, and tiny, perfect meringue dollops and the crust and filling were amazing. I would go back just for the poke and that anytime! Great atmosphere, bathrooms are clean, small but accessible parking lot. It 's a bit pricey for an all the time spot but perfect for a nice night out or date/celebration like ours. We took a ton of food home, and greatly enjoyed our whole experience. We will be back!"
