"We stopped by Shiver's BBQ for lunch and ordered sandwiches (powder, brisket and a Hickory BBQ hamburger). All were delicious, especially the pulled pig. It's excellent! There was also a very good selection of pages, and each side was comfort food best. We enjoyed BBQ beans, hush puppies, cheesy hashbrown casserole, cornbread souffle', and jalapeno cheese grottes. Each side tasted homemade and full of taste. Shiver is not a beautiful place. Guests are placed on long picnic style tables with rolls of paper towels and grill sauce. So, leave your chic clothes at home and simply enjoy Shiver's for what it is: great food in a very casual, comfortable environment. Our server was very friendly and attentive and the prices were appropriate for the quality and quantity of food. We like lunch here!"

"My friend has been talking about this restaurant for years as the best place where she can get fried fish. We had to go and she was right! The place has a friendly local feeling, service was excellent and the prices appropriate. The highlight was the whole roasted snapper that was fresh and tasteful! I'm looking forward to the next visit!"

"When we come to Homestead we always stop by Marios. Great Cuban food. We always love their Shrimp Enchiladas with their specials sauce. Excellent. The yucca is very good also and their black beans. Another favorite of mine is their plantains. Really good."

"Came here and did the tasting after the introduction to the wine 8 months ago. It is absolutely delicious! I love sour beer so that my favorite is the Passion fruit wine so far! They make all their wines from exotic fruits that are brilliant. They were also very knowledgeable and descriptive with the wines to improve the experience! Very happy I can and I highly recommend it!"

"We heard lots of good things about this place so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the fish ceviche and to our surprise, it was not what we expected. The fish had a very distinctive taste. Not sure what fish they use but I am sure there is a better fish to choose. We also had steak fajitas. Very fulfilling but again lacked taste. Would not order it again. We also had the Baja shrimp tacos. These tacos were amazing. Also, the Margarita was delicious. Our waiter was great. Give the place a try and Jude by yourself. We will go back just for the Baja shrimp tacos and the Margarita."
