Very good. They haven't been here since Pre-Covid and thought they were permanently closed. Was over and saw that they were open, so we went for a quick bite. Only ordered chicken strips, froze Chill Wings. Everything was hot n tasty, although the Crock of Chill could have been hotter. What Judy F doesn't like about Halfway House:
Awful! I ordered a pound of wings which said $10 and you get 8-10 depending on size. I got 6 small ones and told the waitress and she said you get 8-10 depending on size, I said I got 6 then she just walks away. The bill comes and I was charged $12 for 6 small wings, my husband said he noticed a sign saying wings will be $2 more. My husband had a fish dinner, he got a small piece of fish, a tiny potato and hard corn.... View all feedback.
It's a great little local place food is good and the prices are great. The staff is super friendly and treat you well. The sausage kale soup is my favorite and they know how to make a strong drink. The sweet chili sauce for the wings has just the right amount of kick. The chicken Marsala was not a very Marsala taste but I likes it it had a unique flavor. All in all we really like this place, even the other customers are friendly and say hello.
We love going to the Halfway House. We recently moved right down the road and can honestly say there isn't anything better than a Halfway House dinner after a long day of work! The food is always great and the staff friendly. The owners make you feel like family. It's just a wonderful place to spend some time.
Food was good at reasonable prices. Coffee was terrible, served weak and cold. waitress excellent.
Was excited to eat here after i was told it was good. Came in, was sat and given menus. We then sat there and stared at our menus for 20 minutes without anyone coming over. Our patience ran out and we left. I hope no one else gets treated like that.
We have come here many times before the new owners bought it, and we never had a bad meal. Service flat out sucked. We came in at 7:45 and left at 9:30! The lady who seated us was rude right off, but our server was nice. The only issue with our server was she wasn't around. We put in our food order and our salads came out then our soup which came out in a decent time period. We then waited 30 to 45 mins. for our entrees. We had to ask for our server to fill our drinks. Our friends entrees came out before mine and my boyfriends food. Her food was saturated in butter and the chicken was rubbery and not cooked right. Her boyfriends food was cooked correctly, but was cold. My boyfriend and I then waited another 25 mins for our food. Our server then informed us that the reason it took so much longer was because our food was dropped on the floor. Bottom line not happy with our food or service! Don't bother coming unless you have time to wait!
