February 2022: Here came for lunch in the Chinese New Year! Was very happy they were open! Order the Ong Choy with garlic sauce and the black beans beef Chow fun. Both were really delicious and authentic Cantonese style cooking! Not sure why this place has no higher reviews, but if you are looking for authentic Cantonese style cooking, you will find it here! Really disappointing portions to take off? not even the amount you get? The same small size for orange chicken and Mongolian beef. The noodles came in a normal size taking containers, but man what a demolition. Flavors are moderate. Wouldn't you recommend for the exit, maybe food is better with flavors and portions? Great place. A nice break from the lines in Waikiki. Service was attentive. Food the food came out fast and it was good. Definitely recommended
Had an early lunch and I think was the first customer of the day. Real nice service and some of the best Chinese food I've had in awhile. The star of the day was the Orange Peel Beef. Just perfect. One of the best versions I have ever had. We also loved the whole shrimp roasted with garlic and pepper, Kung Pao Squid, and deep fried tofu stuffed with minced shrimp. But the winner was the orange beef. This is now our go to Chinese place on Oahu.
No love for locals. First, and maybe last, time ordering from here. $15 cashew chicken. Not bad but it would have been a lot better with rice. I got home and realized that there was no starch with my entree. Seriously?!?! Every other Chinese restaurant I have been to offers rice with the entrees. So, I called the restaurant to see if they forgot to include it but NO, it costs extra for rice or noodles with entrees. Maybe I’m being picky but if I’m paying $15 for a “to go” “mini plate” of chicken, I think there should be a starch included and I should not have to pay extra for a scoop of rice. I’m not saying “don’t eat here”. Just be aware of their scam.
Really disappointing portions for take out… not even the amount you’d get in a lunch special. The same small size for both the orange chicken and Mongolian beef. The noodles came in a normal sized take out container but man, what a rip off. Flavors are mediocre. Would not recommend for take out, maybe dining in is better with flavors and portions…
17.95 for 8 small pieces of shrimp ala cart. What a rip-off. If I had known how small their portions were I wouldn’t have ordered from them. Edit; I also ordered their charsiu fried rice which had barely any meat and was extremely greasy along with the sweet sour pork which felt like we were eating soggy breaded pieces of fat. Panda Express is better than this place and probably a lot healthier too. 0/5 if I could.
