We all really enjoyed the delicious bratbeef, especially the sweet flavor. The only slight downside was that we thought it could have been a bit hotter, but we all enjoy spicy food! The service was great with friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely be coming back! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Chequers Inn:
Service pretty poor. We waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive so with the time waiting to place our order we sat for an hour without food. My wife’s dish was good but mine was pretty poor. Meant to be chicken supreme but it was a chicken leg with just a smear of sauce around the plate so very tasteless and didn’t even look good. View all feedback.
Friendly and warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere, great service and fantastic eating. will definitely return and recommend thoroughly.
We have frequented the chequers for many years now. Great to see the food constantly improving. Always pleased to find there. Good quality real ale. Thank you.
Lovely country pub, friendly and efficient staff. All courses were just right size for good, healthy appetites. Starters and Desserts were delicious. Only slight complaint was buns for the Burgers, which were a bit dry, but this seems to reflect the current widespread fad for Brioche, which is a shame when there are numerous local bakers producing lovely soft normal breadcakes. Still a 10/10 though (as I had the superb pie).
This Inn is a cut above regular pub food with reasonable prices. Tandoori cod, top notch vegetables and other interesting menu items made it a very nice dining experience
