"This place is the definition of hometown charm. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. My fiancé and I stopped at a weekend anniversary to see the caves and wanted to find a good breakfast place. We ordered the breakfast dishes that came with cookies and gravy, eggs, fried potatoes and two slices of bacon. The skill kept the food nice and hot during the duration of the meal that was brilliant! Each piece of food was delicious, well seasoned and had made this house touch. The cherry on top- the prices are extremely affordable! The chicks were each $5.99 for a ton of food, and honestly we could probably have shared one because we were too full to finish. We are used to paying 2-3 times so much for a similar meal of less quality so that you definitely get the most bang for your buck here! This is a must when we travel to Tennessee! Very recommended!"

"2nd time we went there!! We had the Salisbury Steak meal. 3 sides. It was very good. I didnt know it was topped with onions, but my husband took them. Such good food!! AND!!!...I believe we were visited by Miss Betty herself!! She came around asking everyone how their food was!??Loved that touch! And..the waitress was very thoughtful. As we were leaving, she asked if we wanted a fresh drink to go, we said No, we have Tea in the car...then she asked us if we needed a cup of ice for our tea!!?Very thoughtful!1st visit: GREAT little gem. At first it looks small, but it has another room just down a couple steps. Very cozy. Great food. Great Sevice! Fast service! I recommend any one go and try this restaurant! See pictures. I had the Catfish dinner, Yummy! Husband had the Meatloaf dinner. He said it was very good! (But not as good as mine!?)Sides are homemade! Pea salad good! Potato salad, Good! Coleslaw, good!Cant wait to go back. Look and see how much I brought home!We were very Happy. Kept us happy until we got to Walmart!???Kid-friendliness: Has great food choices for children.Parking: Parking is right across the street from their building. There is a traffic light there with a crosswalk. Road didnt seem too busy."

"My husband and I are from out of town. Staying at mammoth cave lodge for a few days. Decided to try this place for my bday dinner. We ordered our food to go. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating to my needs. I ordered a sandwich with no bun BUT I forgot to make sure they still gave me the toppings and condiments...I had to go back twice for everything (was totally my fault for not making sure we got everything even though there was no bun ordered). I forgot to take pictures of the food before we devoured it! My husband got a double bacon cheeseburger with broccoli and I got the Cajun boneless loin chop with broccoli and a loaded baked potato."

"Was solo so sat at the bar. Bartender/server was surly and mumbled. Ordered bento box for dinner —-he grumbled something about “why you want white rice when you have sushi”. I told him I didn’t like fried rice (nowhere on menu does it say you don’t get rice when you have the sushi option listed (which was tasteless BTW). They served the tempura veggies on top of the salad greens so that ruined the salad. A huge bowl of rice appears. The only tasty thing in the whole meal was a little red velvet cupcake with real vanilla bean whipped topping. And he charged me 5 for a “side of rice” claiming he told me it was extra. Waste of time, and calories. Skip it"

"I appreciate the kindness I was shown from the young lady that waited on me at the window. She was absolutely wonderful! Even though the phones were down, she was handling things like a champ!!! Kuddos to the employees who were there keeping the place running even through difficulties!!!!"

"Sadly it has become a sign of the times. Formerly they offered different types of sandwiches 2 for $5 ; now it's 2 sandwiches for $6 and the sandwiches are considerably SMALLER than they were at one time. I ordered 2 DOUBLE CHEESEBURGERS for $6 and, sadto say, after eating them I was still HUNGRY. The burgers were barely warm; the outside of the restaurant and parking lot isgetting an unkempt look to it. At one time they were a fairly decent place to grab a quick bite but sadly not anymore. Like Ijust said AT ONE TIME."
