"Stopped in last night and ordered a ham and pineapple pizza at counter. Was busy, so to my surprise the order was ready in a few minutes. Pizza was clearly one that was prepared (much) earlier. Possibly someone did not show up for their pizza. We got a soggy, cold, tasteless pizza that was no longer fit for sale. The sign says “fresh”. Don’t do that to your customers. Very disappointed as we heard they do sell good pizzas. Ended up putting my $28 pizza in the bin"

"The best breakfast and lunches in town! The fresh Homemade hollandaise sauce on the Bennys are worth the trip alone. The big breakfast is epic, the fresh juices and smoothies are to die for and coffee is made perfectly each time. Love the calamari salad and the burgers OMG. The staff overall are the most friendly people in Townsville and really set the standard in customer service."

"The food was completely overpriced for the quality.. it wasn’t fresh, the sushi was very bland and not to restaurant quality. The squid had no flavour. The gyoza’s weren’t cooked properly. We weren’t able to use a discount code provided. When speaking to the owner...about the experience they were very rude. Very disappointing."

"Food was undoubtedly superb and the best on the island. Very tasty and well presented. Also came out quickly with a very decent beverage menu. Beautiful ambience and building with very delightful artwork. Perfect location for date night except… The experience was tainted by the arrogant/rude/obnoxious owner (tall old guy with glasses named ? Dave) who lacked basic manners such as 'please ' or 'thank you '. Tried to engage him in some talk about his food, was completely disinterested and looked at me arrogantly and dismissively. Strange behaviour for someone who is described as a “restauranteur” on a predominantly tourist island. Disappointing as the rest of the staff were otherwise very pleasant, but perhaps fortunate for him that they don 't follow his absolutely poor example. Seems like this old fella is a serial offender with his behaviour given reviews below and would be much better for all if he wasn 't there. Otherwise, this restaurant is top notch and would be an institution for the island. Avoid the old tall guy and perhaps you will enjoy better than we did."

"Edit: used to be great. Lately they don’t seem to be able to provide anything except ice cream in less than 30 mins. Bit ridiculous that they put sugar all over the banana bread (which was also served half warm half cold). Very off putting. The last few times had to clear the tables ourselves. And serviettes provided were wet so had to grab more, which is such a waste. Prices are getting pretty steep as well for what you get. Juliette’s is a nice little coffee shop, located in a great spot right on the strand frontage. Lots of little sweets, good coffees, and a variety of ice creams flavours that always rotating including a few vegan sorbets. Always seems to be a line up for ice cream no matter the time of day or year. Perfect to sit out the front or grab takeaway and go for a walk along the beach."
