We went for Sunday lunch with friends as the Greets had been recommended and we were really looking forward to it. The service could not be faulted and the starters were good. However, the roasts were disappointing. The “roast” potatoes were hard and didn’t look as though they had been anywhere near an oven, they were pale and hard. The cauliflower cheese was awful. They celebrate our 21st wedding party last night in greet inn, where we had our wedding reception 21 years ago. food and service was excellent, a very pleasant evening.
Greets is a wonderful quintessential English pub. in warnham missed. the staff is extremely helpful and polite and the owner reaches every numb to ensure they are satisfied with the food and service. eating is excellent and can be a somewhat smaller menu than some pubs the quality and quantity is excellent. greets is a firm favorite of me and I would recommend everyone to go there and try the joyful ones for themselves. Oh, and the puds are to die. this is a little jewel!
And eating is great. Always check the “specialists” they never disappointed. we enjoy the inconspicuous but friendly service and a day will have space for one dessert.
Always try and have a meal here 3 or 4 times a year. This visit was another very pleasant experience. Warm welcome, great service, the fish pie was superb and the seasonal veg cooked to perfection. Loyalty card gave us a free bottle of house wine this visit!
