We tried out an elegant Chinese restaurant that also serves amazing sushi. It was my husband's first time dining here and he loved it. Even though he doesn't usually eat sushi, he found plenty of delicious Chinese dishes to enjoy. We both ordered the spicy Thai seafood soup and it was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant. What Noam Kostucki doesn't like about Cafe Ginger:
I walked in 10 min before opening and I was thrown out. I wasn't offered to sit inside while waiting even though 2 chairs are by the door. I waited outside and got back in 10 min later. I wanted to sample a few different things so I got the Pekin duck, the spring rolls and crab puffs. The crab puffs were surprisingly tasty. I enjoyed these a lot. The spring rolls were ok. Excellent place- loved the interior decoration and vibe! It’s vegetarian friendly. They made us custom veggie sushi rolls (mango/jalapeño/cream cheese and tempura sweet potato and onion). Delicious! We enjoyed the green beans and veggie dumplings as appetizers. Staff is attentative and wait time was less than 10min on a Friday night. Would return again!
We had a reservation for two. I told the host our name, holding up two fingers to tell him how many of us there were of course the two of us were standing there anyway. He asked for my name I told him again then asks how many. I told him again. I think I had to give my name three times. Then he asks if we have a reservation two more times...all very weird and said in a very rude, insolent manner. After we were finally seated reluctantly a long time passed before a server showed up. We decided to leave. We won't be back
I have dined for both lunch and dinner at Cafe Ginger several times since moving to Midtown in 2021. The food is always excellent and the service delightful. I take friends there frequently. I also enjoy taken out from CG from time to time. Thoroughly enjoy this restaurant!Food: 5/5
Food and service was excellent and all the items was fresh. We had variety of items from vegetarian to meat and sushi. Each item was perfect and tasty. This is one of our favorite place for Asian cuisine.
