Feels just like coming home. Angel was very nice and was dedicated to assisting all the customers. Parking is extremely limited, so you may need to park in the surrounding residential streets, but the food, the service, and the Malta India are worth the sacrifice.Food: 5/5
Great food and service. Definitely recommend. The chicken empanadas are incredible!!!
I’m a half Puerto Rican who has been on a JOURNEY to find good Puerto Rican food in Houston. It’s here. I almost cried the first time I came here and had their yellow rice. I was feeling really home sick for my grandma’s cooking. She passed over 10 years ago. The food is just like I remember it. Deep. Savory. Full of love and delight. If you haven’t ever tried Puerto Rican food it doesn’t get any more authentic.
Small restaurant but friendly staff and home cooked puertorican food.Food: 4/5
Think of walking into abuela 's home... as casual and homey as it gets. We had mofongo with carne frita, tasty but it missed the caldo to dip the mofongo. I did not ask for it but it 's very likely that they would do their best to make it happen. We also tried the alcapurrias, both kinds (yuca and plantain). Our family has a love relationship with yuca so needless to say that those were our favorite. Since we went the day before Christmas Eve, we were lucky to try the Puertorrican X-mas dessert, tembleque, super yummy.
