we found lighting in most restaurants to be far too bright to pamper the atmosphere. but when we moved into the bar area, the lighting was lower, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. we ate at the bar and the bartender was friendly, warm and knowledgeable. we started with a seasonal product, the pumpkin soup that it was so good that it bleeded our thoughts. the enchilada plate was Tex-Mex perfection! cannot wait to go back... stay awaaaay, the worst Mexican food I've ever had for the 3rd time in 6 months. my mistake, I thought it had to be better that I was wrong. I'll never eat there again. huh is tasteless and swirling are hard because they are stingy and do not throw a bad part of the swirl. The new location is great with a huge patio. My friends and I were treated very well and had all that we needed in minutes. One of the few Tex mex restaurants that still do a good happy hour in the age of Covid-19. Seems really clean and had hand sanitizer stations everywhere. Also very easy to get to if you park in the garage. My only complaint on my experience was I ordered chicken tamale plate and it was cold when it came out. When addressed, they were happy to make me a new plate. Besides that, if you’re in the area and are looking for a good happy hour, go here!
A must try for refined palette and fellow foodies.Ninfas’ Chef uses his expertise in Mexican cuisine for your gastronomic delight. Not to mention the scenery of the patio that can be appreciated EVEN in cool weather. We have various waitstaff favorites but Ms. Horty is #1. Pumpkin Flan and an expresó, delicioso! Thank you Management For always checking in on us to see if we are satisfied.
UPDATE: Still incredible in all ways of drinks and food. Just phenomenal. The best!!! If you want extremely friendly staff (a trait that is always undervalued), fantastic food (what you’re really there for), and strong $1 Ninfaritas (what you’re really REALLY there for), then this is the place for you. I haven’t had better anywhere else. Uptown is my favorite location is great and there is covered, free parking right next to the restaurant. I continue to go back there, even though it’s a 45 min drive from my residence. When a friend comes in town, it would be stupid if I don’t take them here.
I had heard great things about this place since I came to Houston. I'm glad I finally tried! The food was delicious and very quickly prepared. The service was friendly and helpful and they were also great for refill drinks during a busy lunchtime. The setup was super inside or outside and they had the best setup for the following COVID facilities including Plexiglas walls between tables inside and socially distant outside tables. I would highly recommend trying Ninfa’s, you will not regret it!
Really delicious! Our server was friendly and the food was so abundant! The drinks were great!
