Don't eat! Hands down, they were the worse fish chips. They smell badly tasteless. Also not properly cooked. I'm grateful if we're not sick today.

"If you are travelling along the way from Halifax via Peggy's Cove onto Mahone Bay, you must stop for coffee, nibble or lunch. Not sure if this is always on the menu but their chocolate almond cluster is to die for! We only bought 1 and should have bought 10. A great place for folks who have dairy or gluten allergies too!"

"On the waterfront a little rustic clean. Had the Clubhouse sandwich the sandwich was great but the pan fries were not so. Next time would ask to substitute fries for a salad. Masks required except when seated at a table. Service was...quite pleasant."

"My favourite restaurant over the last 13 years we lived here, and there are 3 restaurants closer to us! The Diner 's lobster club sandwich is the best in NS. I even have a T-shirt that says 'Finer Diner ' on it...how 's that for loyalty? Look at the photo of the Club we had last night."

"This is one of the first restaurants that find along the way between Halifax and Peggy's Cove. A very nice setup inside with friendly staff. Lobsters are freshly served in many ways. Meat is also available. Outside, you can enjoy a nice view of the bay.They made a mistake with an order, which was supposed to come with no mayo, but then they took some dollars off the bill."

"We were a family of three who were practically told to leave as they were focusing on seating larger groups. They were busy so we knew we would be waiting to be seated and that was okay with us. At this point, we had already been waiting outside for 15 minutes. A lady came outside and said there would be a wait and wanted us to know so we weren't having to wait out in the hot sun. That's great, thanks for letting us know but she then repeated it over again consecutively to us until we finally just left and went to the Seaside Shanty where we had a lovely meal and wonderful service. Apparently if you are a small group of people wanting some drinks and a meal, the Rope Loft doesn't need your business. If you are a larger group, you will be welcome there."

"My wife and I started to go to this restaurant when it was first opened eating was excellent at the time, how was the waiting staff here on the other day on our way to home we both had lasagna I swear they need to cook a sweater. everything was burned and it looked disgusting who he carrots in lasagne, I noticed eating other people when it was delivered, it was all burned looking I thought what they turned this place into an English pub it looked safe how English cooked disgusting and burned"

"The only enjoyable thing about this place is the view from the building. The food isn't worth its high price and lacks flavour. For example, the haddock burger was over fried and hard. The Angus burger was also tough. The Greek salad was just okay, but was soaked in dressing. We had breakfast here too for it was included in our room, which was also average. Service was alright."
