Best fried chicken anywhere, and service is great!
Great Chicken, but why are the zing sauce cups less than half full?

Great chicken tenders quickly and politely. GC managers go out of their way to show their appreciation for patronage.
I love this place! The owner of this particular location works very hard, from opening to close to make sure all is run properly!

"Very passable cajun. I love good Cajun food but the two most popular 'big chain ' Cajun restaurants have always been a disappointment. So when I heard about this local eatery in Hudson Oaks I was hopeful that it would be different. I was not disappointed. For appetizers we started with fried pickles (very good) and seafood gumbo. I 'm somewhat of a gumbo aficionado and can honestly say it was about as good as you would expect to find anywhere in N 'Awlins. Next came the meal, and WOW! We ordered a half order of the seafood platter (catfish, oysters, crawfish, gator, shrimp, and fries) and could not believe the portions. My wife and I shared the platter and still had more than enough to take home in a doggy bag. The food was standard fried fare and decent for the money. Much better than you get at the big chains. The batter was not great but still very passable. My only complaint was that the pieces (crawfish, gator, etc) were so small it was sometimes difficult to tell what you were eating."

"Our party of three arrived about 4:45 today. The girl at the hostess podium told us she was not the host,but would find him. At least 5 minutes passed, while other parties also walked in to the lobby area. Still nobody. Finally a young man arrived and asked us if we had been helped. We told him no. He guided us to the upper area and seated us. We then watched for about 10 minutes while the numerous waitresses on both sides of the bar chatted with customers at the bar, showed each other apparently funny things on their phones, and sipped on their personal drinks They locked eyes with us, but no one ever came over to take our drink order. The place was not busy at all. Now I know why. The food was marginal at best on our last visit. Thought we'd give it another try, but now we're done. Walked over to Downtown Cantina and spent our $85 over there. Service: Dine in Service: 1"

"Overall a very positive experience. Good drinks and food. Only complaint is the grits. I think the people cooking food need help to head to Louisiana and eat grits. These grits were dry and looked like rice."
