"A medium-sized open caffe, no stands, no more, only a large open room. I have eaten here several times with family, always eating good and courteous employees. good chicken fried steak, roasted okra, roasted cats and many other southern comfort foods. they can even order the breakfast for dinner."

"Very passable cajun. I love good Cajun food but the two most popular 'big chain ' Cajun restaurants have always been a disappointment. So when I heard about this local eatery in Hudson Oaks I was hopeful that it would be different. I was not disappointed. For appetizers we started with fried pickles (very good) and seafood gumbo. I 'm somewhat of a gumbo aficionado and can honestly say it was about as good as you would expect to find anywhere in N 'Awlins. Next came the meal, and WOW! We ordered a half order of the seafood platter (catfish, oysters, crawfish, gator, shrimp, and fries) and could not believe the portions. My wife and I shared the platter and still had more than enough to take home in a doggy bag. The food was standard fried fare and decent for the money. Much better than you get at the big chains. The batter was not great but still very passable. My only complaint was that the pieces (crawfish, gator, etc) were so small it was sometimes difficult to tell what you were eating."
