What User doesn't like about Schutzenhof:
the restaurant is a bit older from the mobilar. the service made the somewhat old-baked impression and was very courteous. the drinks were ordered quickly and so we dedicated ourselves to the card. German kitchen with regional and seasonal influences. what we found very well, you could order for many meals also half portions. The suppe was decorated with spray cream and this is an absolute nogo! and after self-made it... On the outside, you'd think what that is. Inside it is like a café with a bar, but it has a relaxing touch. The food was absolute restaurant quality, so don't let you run through the building, but go in and enjoy.
There is a review of '14, say that the food is good and they do not accept credit card. From 2014 nothing has changed: Food good Beer good Staff Friendly (and you can talk to someone find English atmosphere relaxed, more like a pub (i like this card payment still some restrictions (Visa not accepted Will definitely visit again)
Why do you land in Hunfeld, Germany if it's not really on any tourist routes? I have family and friends there, but there are many reasons to go there, including just an authentic German food experience...of which MANY choose. The shelter is a B, but locals go there for lunch and dinner. Massive portions at home boiled scavengers with real roasted potatoes (not the frits they serve anywhere else). Schnitzels are slabs of thin pounded pork (can be calfsal... but the menu will always tell you) that hardly fit the very large dinner plates. We ordered side salads to get some green and they were also large and served with a delicious homemade dressing. Wine, beer and apple wine flew freely during our festival. The value was excellent. The environment cozy and the service very good. There is a lot to do in Hunfeld with beautiful accommodation, museums (esp the Konrad Zuse Museum... Place of birth of the computer), churches and parks. Time to leave the beaten path and bring the regional train to this picturesque city. The city centre is just 300 metres from the depot.
