While some menu combinations may not be perfect, the food is generally tasty and reasonably priced. The modern ambiance and friendly service complete the experience. Despite some service mishaps and communication issues with reservations, the overall dining experience is worth recommending. With delicious food, beautiful decor, and attentive staff, Bangkok Avenue is definitely a restaurant worth trying out.
We had Roti green curry, minced larb and lamb shank. All were tasty. Our server Kim was simply good. Strongly recommend.
Last time for me. Service was so slow and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant at 11:30. Food was poor and when asked for coffee got a quizzical look like what is that? Finally asked for hot tea for myself and my guest and was served 2pots of cold tea with teabags. Sent back and was not charged. Poor and disappointing! Dolores Cronin
My new thai Resturant. Amazing food friendly service and fresh fresh fresh!
I've been to scores of Thai restaurants over the year, and nearly all of them offered Penang curry. But Bangkok Avenue was the first one I'd ever seen to offer Penang curry with short ribs. It was listed as a chef's specialty, so I ordered it. The curry was good, the short ribs were good. The combination did not seem optimal: from now on, it's back to ordering the curry with chicken. Overall, Bangkok Avenue struck me as a better-than-average neighborhood Thai restaurant, but nothing top tier. The half-filled room was noisier than it should have been.
we had red green curry, cute larvae and lamb. all were delicious. our server kim was just good. highly recommended.
