"The first cousins of my family try to make a lunch every three months and a Christmas party in December. Yesterday was our first 2017. As usual, the food was great! Our waitress Sylvia is the best. Always a great place to eat!!"

"I've tried to like this restaurant from the very first day it opened in Nitro. There's not much to do in Nitro and not many places to eat, so we were super excited to know a taco place was opening. But beyond the first day of opening, the quality of food has been hit or miss and honestly the quality keeps getting worse each time we visit. First time we ate there it was amazing. We just live down the street also so it was always fresh when we picked it up. Each time we order, the worse the food looks and tastes. Generally we are disappointed with our meal but we keep trying to support them. Last time we ordered tacos witj just cheese and chicken and a taco salad. We live on 34th street, and the restaurant is on 39th. By the time we got the food home, the chips were cold... taco salad looked like melted slop, and the tacos were wrong completely. Had this been the first time, we wouldn't have gone to these measures but we took the food back and asked for a refund. It literally couldn't be eaten the way they made it. I called to let them know the food was wrong and that I wanted a refund since we couldn't eat it. The man who answered the phone hung up on me. I called back and a girl told me he barely speaks English is why he hung up on me. That's fine, speak as much or as little as you want or need, but if a customer calls with an issue you should probably hand the phone over to someone who can speak English. It was incredibly rude. We have tried and tried to support them but we will never be going back. The food is sloppy and gross every time."

"Our church, Nitro Church of God, several of us go to lunch every Thursday. We picked The Rivers Edge Cafe yesterday. We had an Awesome time. Our server was a girl named Sam. Sam was so attentive to us, we had 15 there yesterday, two of which were children. Great food and great service. We will be back. Thanks Sam"

"Today was the first time we've tried Coal River Coffee Company. Their store is a nice, cozy, comfortably lit place with a good amount of seating, a book section where you can chose from dozens (if not a couple hundred) books to enjoy while you sit down for your coffee, as well as a few stickers and other souvenir-type things to buy. I tried an iced decaf pumpkin latte, and it was very good, great flavor without being overwhelming with pumpkin, and smooth. Service was very"
