What User doesn't like about Humphrey's:
We had brunch menu items. My review is based on a poor choice for the order! The three others I was with had better experiences than I did. My daughter had chicken and waffles, and they looked great. Two friends had platter breakfasts and they looked great. I ordered a breakfast burrito. It was stone cold. It HAD to have been prepared and refrigerated beforehand and microwaved for service. On Wednesday night there was hardly anyone in the building. It's a good place to hang around and cool. I experienced slow service and spent about an hour on a beverage refill and check after just ordering an appetizer. came back a little after a walk through downtown because my wife wanted something from there and we sat at the bar this time. The service was much faster. The music was a little loud and went on and out until a guy came and started playing and turned the volume more, which would not have been bad if he were good. Not sure how it is on weekends, but not here to expect to sit, eat and leave within two hours.
It was ok nice relaxed atmosphere. Bar menu was limited so I really can't wait to go back early in the afternoon for lunch or dinner. My waiter/bartender PJ seemed upset by me, I'll summarize it until he might have a long day. That's not how it was cool. FRIES came from COLD, HUSHPUPPIES came hot, but burned. I couldn't bite it and threw it away before I broke a tooth or made my gum sour.
Very quiet, but it was a Sunday night. Five of us considered a beer and to watch some of the Stanley Cup Finals. Beer was good as well as some mixed drinks our group ordered. Our food was pretty good and service was great. We had heard that some of the dishes in the spice/taste department might be missing something. I have the Fish Po boy who was delicious along with Buffalo style cauliflower bites. One of us had the bowl of Chili, which was given a thumb. The cheese curds/queaky cheese was a little bland. The Buffalo chicken sandwich turned on like my daughter said the medium was a little spicy for her. Overall good experience and would recommend going as a good place if you are close.
Unbelievable experience! Live music, food, drinks, aaaamazing staff were all excellent! Mimosas were great! And the manager Ralph was so sweet and accommodating! definitely recommend!!!
Like the previous post , lots of staff , but lack of service. Had to wait over an hour for a round of beers while the table next to us were seated, and served their meal. Cant even pay our tab to leave to go somewhere that can actually take care of their customers Can not recommend this place until the service gets better. The photo is what our table has looked like for over an hour
