First time visit: Greeted immediately upon entering. I was able to choose where I sat. Pretty empty when I first got there but many people arrived afterward. Steven the server was really nice and had a good sense of humor. My food came out quickly. The flavors were great. I ordered the steak omelet which came with 2 buttemilk pancakes. Every thing was fresh. The salsa that was on the side taste housemade but it may not have been. So delicious. The receipts had a QR code to pay but I couldn't get it to work. The building didn't look like much from the outside but glad I gave it a try. Will be returning when I'm in town again.
Think, first watch quality (great food)with local diner prices. Great brunch option. They have a vast list of specialty waffles that were delicious. The bacon was crispy and the eggs the correct temperature. They had short staff signs but honestly the service was great. In the restaurant the ambiance was a bit overwhelming with different signs hard to see what is what. They had good lighting and clean bathrooms.
My girlfriend and I are on a mini trip to Ft. Worth. We used Groupon for breakfast and picked this cafe with a $25 for $18 discount. I always check Google reviews for star rating and the amount of ratings to help me decide. This little 'mom pop ' style cafe didn 't disappoint. The outside looks old, not in a bad way, and welcoming. The inside environment was very friendly with a wide range of ages but mostly older generations. Our server 's name was Jenny. She was extremely helpful, very friendly, and very quick to make sure we had everything we needed. My girl got a regular coffee and I got a latte. Both were good but the latte could have been a little better (It was a little on the light side). I ordered a 'Brookside Scramble with a biscuit ' (Added jalapenos). My girlfriend ordered the 'Two Egg Breakfast ' with medium eggs and she also ordered a Belgium Waffle. The scramble was amazing, the two eggs (Over medium) was amazing and the Belgium Waffle could have been better. We both really loved this place and highly recommend for a great low key breakfast spot.
Good food. Excellent service. Food was prepared quickly and to order. Small place with dates dining area but it feels comfortable and staff had noticeable efforts to keep tables clean between customers. Had omelette, pancakes, country fried steak and eggs and hash browns. All were very good.
